Covering an area of 550 square meters, slipping between water and air, this, cold-war-like-initiated, ekranoplane is undoubtfully a modern day monument of technology. The Лунь, loaded with heavy armoury, hasn't been used as extensively as planes or ships, but from the main idea/concept, as something that stands on the edge, filling a gap on army operations, to its finest detail is hugely intriguing. Strangely, the second one of these series(last image) was mainly built and used as a rescue boat..
